How Coronavirus Cleaning Works
The government guidelines, along with Public Health England, provide assistance in the measures to be taken after someone in the workplace becomes infected. This includes personal protective equipment (PPE). At a minimum gloves and an apron should be applied and hands should be washed for 20 seconds after PPE has been removed. Where risks of infection are higher (e.g. a person has slept in the space – e.g. a dormitory, hotel room, or confined office space) then it’s recommended to use full PPE covering the eyes, mouth, and nose.
We should suggest that if you’re concerned about doing this yourself that you contact a professional cleaning company. CICS Ltd. uses full hazmat PPE to mitigate the risk of contracting COVID-19. We use ULV fogging technology which is particularly effective at tackling viral infections like COVID-19. Traditional cleaning methods, such as wiping down surfaces with clothes, only partially remove viral contamination and can also act to spread it. In contrast fogging kills germs in the places they lie including hard-to-reach areas and hotspots.
